Grid Pulse is a Formula 1 companion app. This policy describes exactly what data the app handles, what leaves your device, and what never does. It is written to match the app's Apple privacy manifest, so the two documents say the same thing.
We do not sell your data, we do not track you across other companies' apps or websites, and we do not use the App Tracking Transparency framework or advertising identifiers.
When you sign in with Apple or Google, Firebase Authentication (operated by Google) receives and stores an account identifier, your email address, and your name. This is used to identify your account and to key your saved data to you. Nothing else.
Linking a Bluesky account is entirely optional — the feed can be read without it. If you do link one:
Grid Pulse uses Firebase Analytics (operated by Google) to understand how the app is used — which screens are opened, and basic device and app-version information. This is used to fix problems and decide what to build next. It is not used to build an advertising profile, is not shared with data brokers, and is not linked to anything you post.
Some driver and season summaries are generated by Google's Gemini API. The only information sent is the season year and driver names — publicly known Formula 1 data. No personal information, and nothing about you, is included in these requests.
The app fetches Formula 1 results from a public Ergast-compatible API, driver and team images from Wikipedia/Wikimedia, and public posts from Bluesky's public API. These services receive an ordinary network request; they are not sent any personal information about you.
The following never reaches our servers. It is stored on your device, and where noted, synced only to your own private iCloud account, which Apple does not disclose to us:
Grid Pulse requests access to your photo library only through Apple's system photo picker, which hands the app the single image you choose. The app cannot browse your library.
The Grid Pulse feed shows public posts from Bluesky. That content is written by other people, not by Grid Pulse. There is zero tolerance for objectionable content or abusive behaviour.

You can delete your account from inside the app at any time: Profile → Settings → Delete Account. This removes your Firebase authentication record, your stored profile, your profile and scrapbook photos, and your locally stored data.
Unlinking or deleting your Grid Pulse account does not delete content you published to Bluesky, because that content lives on your Bluesky account rather than ours. Delete it from Bluesky, or delete your Bluesky account, to remove it.
All network traffic uses encrypted connections. Bluesky tokens and the app's signing key are held in the device Keychain rather than in ordinary app storage.
Grid Pulse is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected here with an updated date at the top of the page, and where appropriate, noted in the app.
